The more time you spend outdoors and meeting the people, the sooner you will adjust to the new scenery. There isn't an exact time to feel 'use' to your new place but if you attempt to be social, the sooner you accept.

It depends on how open you are to adapting and how hard you're willing to try. Maybe it also matters how different the new country is from your home country.

I've lived abroad for 2.5 years and I feel like I've adapted rather well so far, although I think I can adapt a little better yet, there are still some things I'm not sure how work here. But for some people it takes longer and some people never adapt. So it really depends on you, how open minded and willing you are about adapting.

This is such a hard question. I am in my new country 16 years and I still feel in many ways an outsider. I think adapting to a new country means you have to learn the language, culture and mentality. How long does it take? I think it just depends on the person. There is no set answer.

I think that you can adapt to any way of life no matter what country you are in thats really up to you.But to make it feel like home is another thing and even when at times you might you will always miss were you came from.I love my country and i love the one i am in so i guess at some point you just begin to have two homes. As wonderful as that is sometimes it really sucks!Peace!

sometimes it can take a long time. it depends on where you move to and from. if your moving from another country into the US it might take a while because we are so much different from another country. language, food, culture, religion, money and so forth. those who dont adapt or choose not to get lost in the mix and arent noticed by those who are already there.

Doen't depend on the country bur depends who you are with in the country. Frineds and family make it very easy to adapt.

Attitude and deep sense of belonging to the place you choose as your country are the key. You should study the culture and more than that understand the history and struggles others have gone through to call it their country. Best of luck!

I tried to move to a new state in the USA and I just found out there is no place like home. So I moved back home and have not left again.
