i don't think it is that they get paid too much it is that we don't get paid enough when you think about it peoplle are willing to pay that 20-100 bucks( sorry idk the euro amount) to watch a game and it takes alot to become a player they work thier own a-holes off too plus they are prone to injury they ar eout there giving up thier body and fighting for the game every day if they get injured what do you think happens... they probally lose about 3 months - 3 years in pay and maybe never able to play again... it is too much of a risk for them to play and not be paid well

Well according to normal people like us, they do get paid immensely !! But as per their value add to the football clubs around the world, considering the advertising contracts, the ticket & merchandise sale, they deserve to get paid a good percentage of what they help make for the club !!

So i think its all right for them to get paid the way they are ! In the end they do entertain us !!

Absolutely! I accept that football is popular and the top players are very skilled - but it is just wrong the obscene amounts of money they get when you consider that people that do really important work, like nurses and teachers, get paid so poorly. The world is a very sick place sometimes.

l think there paid to much.
Don't get me wrong, l love football and it's great work if you can get it so good luck to them, but the amount they get paid is a joke!
Entertainers earn there money through royalties, people have seen there movies, bought there Cd's and they make fair money in large quantities.
However footballers don't seem to earn there money, there just giving it by clubs that are willing to get into thousands of pounds worth of debt for it.

FAR too much! It's disgusting that we have people struggling just to get by, whilst ridiculous sums are being paid to people who don't really do anything important. That said, if someone offered me that kind of money, I wouldn't turn it down!

In our (the middle class) society, yes, they do earn too much.

but here's the thing: footie players do not play for the money - they play for the the honour and because it is their passion. the money means nothing to them.

many do not use the money for themselves/their families entirely, but give to charities, worthy causes etc. heck, Beckham created a soccer academy so kids could play and learn properly!

Footballers get paid market price. Good luck to them. If it is so easy i would recommend that you become a footballer.
