Well I am a teacher and I would imagine the school reports are correct, but I would also say that the psychiatrist is probably right too. Teachers and psychiatrist are both university trained and specialised in their field. There is every chance that your daughter is good at maths, science AND art. People can be good at lots of things, not just one particular subject.

The Psychiatrist said that? A Psychiatrist is a medical doctor. I don't typically see them saying things about art. Was it a counselor? Maybe a Social Worker, or even Psychologist? Perhaps your daughter is good in all three subjects, which makes her multi-talented. Congrats on raising a great daughter!

Did the psychiatrist conduct tests before concluding she's good in art or wat it just an off-the-cuff remark ? If no test was conducted to arrive at this conclusion, then the school reports are correct. Else, your daughter is doubly blessed to be good in all these three fields of study. Lucky you !!

Maybe all of them are, which would be GREAT for her. That would mean she can use both sides of her brain. She is both analytical and creative. Ask her what SHE is interested in and encourage her in that aspect.

She's probably good in all those things, and just shows it better in different environments.

Try asking your daughter. She will be best at what she enjoys the most.

She could be good at all of it. I wouldn't be taking her to a quack, though.
