If two computers are on the same network, they should be able to see each other. Go into My Network Places and View Workgroup Computers. All the computers on the network such be listed. Click on the other person's computer. If they have shared their drive, you will be able to see all the files on it, and can copy them. If you can the computer but not the files, the drive is not shared. Have them right click on the C drive (or a folder on the C drive you want to see) and go under Properties to Sharing. There they can share out that drive or folder so you can see and copy from it. If they "allow others to change their files" then you can also copy files to their computer and delete files off their computer.
Because file sharing increasing the damage that a hacker could do to you PC, it is recommended that you create a single folder of sharing files and only share out that one folder. Anything you want someone else to see, you copy to that folder. Then if someone gets into you computer they can only attack that one folder, not everything.

Yes you can but they will have to have that folder or drive shared, if they need to do so you can get that person to right click on that folder or drive go to properties and then click on the tab thats says sharing or share, and then click on you understand sharing, then click on share drive or folder on the network, if you want you can click on let other users modify files on this drive or folder.
Then you should be able to see that persons drive in my network places.

Yes as long you have access to their computer and they have given you permission to enter the folder which contains the files you want to copy.
Pretty easy stuff!
Good luck.
