Jehovah is the English translation of the divine name, which was likely pronounced in Hebrew as "Yahweh" or "Yehowah". The divine name literally means "I Shall Prove to Be What I Shall Prove to Be" or “I am what I am”.

The important thing is to use God’s personal name in whatever language you speak, rather than insisting upon the impersonal! The name “Yahweh” is certainly preferable to the non-name “God”, but if you speak English you will likely use the name "Jehovah".
