I have several people that I dont want to talk to, which mobile fone has the above feature. I know some brand like SonyEricson has the Accepted Caller List which send a busy tone to anyone who is not on the list when they call you. This doesnt work for me as my fone is for emergency at work, it has to be on 24/7 and people call me with numbers that i dont even know. What I want to do is to block just those annoying bastards (or their numbers). I can buy anyphone, doesnt matter made or model. Privacy is much of concern to me rather than money.

I'll be very grateful if any of you can tell me what fone has that feature and Im sure I can figure it out when I get the fone. Many many thanks.

I have a Nokia 8800, a O2 XDA2 miniS, and a Samsung SGH-V200C that I can use.

But as I said before, I can buy any phone, as long as it has the feature that I need.

These people really are ignorance bastards, they do that just to annoy you, and they would not give up so there is no point telling them (i've already tried to tell them to F**K OFF but it didnt work)

let the calls go to voicemail and then ignore them

or

another option is to create or download a ringtone of "silence" lasting 15-30 seconds and assigning that "silent " ringtone to the numbers you want to disregard..thus when they call the phone rings but it wont wake you up if you are sleeping

(this is how I did it for nextel: the i860 lets you record a ringer, so set the phone to record and then use that as the persons ringer or download it from one of the nextel forum sites)

Go into your phone's menu, look for "security settings".
Once you've found that, there should be a sub menu for restricting calls- calls coming in and calls going out. Select the in coming calls menu, then follow the prompts on the screen to block those numbers that you do not wish to receive calls from--there is one catch to this though--you've got to have caller ID available for your phone, as well as the number that is calling you.

If you've really got to purchase a new phone, ask the person you're buying from about the privacy options on each of the models you've mentioned or are looking at. They should be able to tell you how to block unwanted or annoying calls. Remember, calls that are threatening or vulgar should be reported to your network provider and possibly law enforcement for criminal charges to the maker of the calls.
Hope this helps solve your problem!

I had an O2 X4 mobile phone before. It had a reject caller list and you just added the number to your contacts list and add the contac to your block list. It is 3G, camera, video, MP3 flip phone and modern.Thing is you have to be on the O2 network, and you need to know the callers number to block them. They can just withold their number (141) and it will bypass the reject, but i am sure any phone will do the same thing?

hope this helps

If you've got a 'symbian' phone then download & install 'Blackballer' or 'Blacklist' (try 'getjar.com) .. they will block unwanted calls & text messages from any number.
Not sure which are the symbian phones but if yours isn't then just do a google search, no probs!

If you know the number the person or people are calling from, call your network provider and tell them to barr the call.
