I am working for my employer full-time at the moment on a wage but in September i am due to change my position and will have a salary. I will only be working 4 days a week instead of my usual five at the moment. My employers are saying they will not give me this full salary as i will not be working 'full-time' - can they do this?

wage r on daily basis whereas salary on perticular period basis wherein u r allowed for some leaves depend on policy of organisation....
No they cannot do this as they r promoting you and its policy of organisation for workin for 4 days u get promotion and in promotion salary increases....

Wage you work & get paid for the hours worked. If overtime you receive overtime pay.

Salary you work when they say, as long as they say and get paid the same amount. Extra hours? No extra pay. Salary is usually a nice sum though.

Wage is the paid in the end of the month to a labourer..or a blue collared employee..salary is paid to the one who is a white collared employee or the one who does the paperwork...

I don't think so, but if the money is the same or more, maybe its a good thing. Full time is a minimum number of hours per week, not a minimum number of days.

wages are for manual labourers and salaries are for professional jobs such as a manager
