Well, given that India has won only 17 medals in it's history, it is a little embarrassing for a nation of it's size and population, about 1.2 billion people. They won one medal in 2004 for shooting
When you consider that Denmark (for example), a nation of about 5.5 million people has won some 163 medals including 39 gold, it kinda makes one wonder what's up with India. And Denmark incidentally, won 8 medals in 2004 including 2 gold....
I don't believe they should stop competing, but perhaps focus on core sports where they've had success like in field hockey.

No way!
The Olympics are for everyone to participate in. Even if they had a less than graceful performance, they should keep trying.
Think about it like this- The United States had a less than graceful performance this past winter, and I doubt that we are going to stop competing just because of a few bumps in the road!

Not at all! Shooting and weight-lifting are our strong points.I wish our hockey team performs better.Swimming,uh.......let's not talk about that!
But hey! India ian't doing any well in cricket either.Should it drop out of cricket?(and maybe then,we'll do better at Olympics too)

no, indian are hardworking they come back in the games soon, in the lots of games indian players are great job like shooting,boxing,atletics etc i think indian are not lazy definitly india particating in the olympics

i don't think so india is been disgracefull many times before and in many things but that didn't stop them
