I have seen, Brazil, ENGLAND, Germany, even in the USA in the world cup, I sit everynight waiting for Scotland to appear, but they don't, I havn't even heard songs like Ally's tartan army, are they not playing this year...shame as they were a gauranteed 3 points for us ....

Sorry the question was tongue in cheek,as for playing in the next world cup, can you really see it ? I loved it when we had the all the British teams in, but at present tems lite Togo, Trinidad, and Ghana seem to be up and coming, says a lot for British football, given the money that is injected to thes teams, good on the Africans...
But I do miss the Scots, and as for the French, up the French (right uppem) joke

Paul well said, I too loved the friendly banter, it after all is a game, altohugh, I wouldn't have admitted to my Dad, I always hope the scots would do well, maybe I have more scottish blood than I realise, am am certainly a tight bugger, ah well to all scots, haste ye back...

I went through the players in Scotland squad whose play in the World Cup 2006 qualifying. I do not see any big profile in it that can make them stand beside Ronaldinho or Thierry Henry or David Beckham in Germany this year.
I do not know about you. What is your purpose of watching the World Cup? For me, I want to see competitive matches and the real World Champion of Football with marvellous skilful players and tactics. I am not supporter of Brazil football team. I hope my favourite team will do better than them this time. I respect them if they capable to win again with winning all the finest team in the world.

Scotland is unfortunately not represented in Germany this year but we will be back. Scottish football is rebuilding its team and its support structures. For a small nation we have a great record and this record will be grow in future campaigns.
The Scottish Football Association have limited resources and they need to use them wisely. Bereti (the wee German) was a mistake and we are paying for his poor performance and the poor support he got from many quarters.
We will be back.
It is interesting reading the other replies how much anger there is against Scotland. I truly believe that there is a large proportion of English supporters who envy the enthusiasm of Scottish fans and the welcome we get whereever we go. It really is a pity that the English have such a terrible record as visitors. Once again they need to learn from us.

Unfortunately, Scotland is not competing in the world cup finals this year. It's a bit of a shame, as the Scottish fans are among the best in the world (even if the team itself usually gets knocked out)

They didn't qualify, and now lots of Scottish people are moaning that England keep going on about the World Cup (because of course they wouldnt if they were in it), and they say they are going to support anyone who plays against England.
Go ahead. At least WE are IN the World Cup.

They didn't qualify. The only country from Great Britain that qualified was England. No Scotland, Ireland or Wales. :o(
