Greed. It's at the bottom of every trouble I can imagine.

Illusion. Most evil people of history had some crazy idea (Hitler's perfect race etc.) But then you can ask, where does illusion come from? From some deep emotional issue. So i guess emotional issues are everyone's downfall. But where does that come from? From ill or wrong-treatment when you're young. So that can be the worst vice.
Truthfully, the human is such a complicated thing, you cant really single out one vice, because every one vice springs from another.

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't say greed.
We achieve and develop through greed. Creativity is generated through greed. Gordon Gecko said greed is good. Greed = Survival.
Now, too much greed is a problem, yes I agree. But I wouldn't give it the distinction of all time #1 human vice. And not ALL wars, murders and betrayals started from greed. Some started from envy. Some religion.
