I want to keep my mobile phone number but change to another network. I know I need a PAC code but once I have this what exactly do I do with it? And does it transfer the phone number straight away?

I simply took my old phone to my new provider and they transferred every number into my new phone in seconds. I did lose my ring tones and games though.

To keep my mobile phone number but to change to another network, and also I know I need a PAC code, what I should do is to remove the seem park of the phone number I want to change from the phone and put the new seem park that I want to change to. Then I will keep the old seem park and keep on recharging it so that they will not cut me off.
Thanks, thats my answer.

if you have got you're pac code you just need to buy a sim card if you are going on pre pay or contact the network you want to go on sign up for a contract and give them you're pac code and leave the rest to them

My boyfriend was with Cingular before we decided to put him on my plan with Verizon (so we could get free mobile to mobile). It was really simple. Mainly because we didn't have to do anything but go to Verizon, tell them what we wanted, and voila! They did everything for us. His number was transfered immediately. So to save yourself the trouble of spending time doing research, time waiting "on hold," and time figuring it all out, just take the time to go to your new network. They'll take care of you cause they want your business.

ring your service provider up and get a PAK code (there maybe a fee) and then give the code to your new provider.

Your new phone provider will do it for you.
