Hippos. Although dont allow them to get too excited as they can be a bit boisterous.

One of the last (pets) you should consider is a monkey. A part from the fact that most states (except a very few) do not allow them as pets legally. I have raised many and know for a fact that they do not make good pets. Cute when little, smelly, dirty habits and get aggressive as they mature. Diapers and tail croping is out. Think of something better as a source of amusement. Do your homework well before purchasing any pet. They are not a disposable item. Many have very special diets and needs. I have seen many end up unwanted due to lack of real research before a purchase.

Monkeys are only amusing pets to everyone else who can watch through the window as they beat you up and trash your house, while wearing that darling sweater you knitted specially for him.

I love my ferret..I went home oneday..there was white stuff all over the rugs..I thought my daughter had put that smelly powder on them..come to find out it was my ferret with icing sugar..I laughed and thought it was so cute...he's got free run of the house most of the time..(unless he's being mean to one of the other animals) ...he can open anything...he gets into so much trouble...but he's so cute, we forgive him right away...

Rats. There so cute and they should be kept as pets unlike monkeys who need more space then a little cage in your house.

I've always wanted one of the miniature shetland ponies that you can keep in your house....they have a life expectancy of over thirty years...sometime up to 50....that'd be a lifelong pet right there!!

Parrots because they can talk to you when you are bored. You can share a bag of peanuts together and if you tame it you can let it fly round the house.
