Not all people wear their watches on their left hand. Usually right handed people wear their watches on their left hand so when they write they are not resting their arm (and the watch) on the table. Which can be uncomfortable, harmful to the watch and makes it so they cannot check the time while writing.

Usually mostly people are right handed and prefer to wear watches in left hand for the safety of watches as well as spontaneous working.

Not at all. But traditionally watches are worn on the left arm. Most people are right handed and having a watch on the left arm makes it easier to check the time. I grew up wearing it on my right arm and I found out that most men who are conservative or sexy in nature wear watches on their right arm. I don't think it's true but where you wear it is entirely up to you.

All people don't just right handed people. Its so the watch doesn't get in the way of writing and working.

This is because a greater number of people are right-handed and the use of the right hand as dominant in so many situations leaves the left free for one checking out the time--It is also (my little sweetness suggests) so as not to get the damn thing hung up in the stuff your right hand is into----geessss louise--------

I was always told you wear your watch on the wrist you don't write with.....SO if your right handed you would wear your watch on your left wrist and if your left handed, you would wear your watch on your right wrist.....
