13.7 billion years ago, whoever or whatever caused it. If it was "caused" at all.

The Bible also says that a day is like a thousand years, so I don't see a conflict with estimates of the Big Bang, and creation. The whole 6000 year thing for the creation was established by counting the generations of people listed in the Bible and multipying by 20 (the average age till a new generation is born) The Bible does NOT support a 6000 year estimate. Also if you are trying to explain physics to a baby, sometime the answer is "you'll find out when you're grown", so maybe God is just saying "yeah, I'm the one who made everything". Would I teach that in school? No, it's not science. Science is trying to recognize patterns for things observed, and using that to make predictions about what could happen next. Studying God is philosophy, or how to live your life in the here and now. I see I'm rambling so I'll shut up now. heehee

No one actually knows whether the Big Bang really did happen, but even if it did, scientists estimate it to be 13.7 billion years ago.
There are many questions about the Big Bang theory; for example, if scientists claimed that the universe was made up of a supernova which expanded and created advance life forms, can i place all the springs, tires, rims and other stuff necessary to build a car into a room, and supply so much energy until it becomes a car?
I believe that such precision is the work of God. Someone was out there planning this coordination for us.

The "Big bang" happened about 20 billion (or milliard) years ago. It evolved from the singularity of enormous density and started expanding immediately. It still expands.
About the God's creation: there is a plenty of space outside, but it is not clear whether there is any kind of space outside our known (and unknown) universe. It is also unveiled, whether someone or something started the big bang, since in the beginning the space was just a single spot. Now, there is a plenty of room to debate about existence of God outside the universe, and about his action in initiation of big bang.
However, it was proven mathematicaly, that the universe is subject to pulsing. So, the big bang was the beginning of the expanding pulse, and it is to presume that some day it will start to collapse, going back to it's singularity. If mathematics says so, there is no room for God's actions.

God had nothing to do with the big bang.
Its all in the Bible.
The big bang happened billions of years ago.
According to Dr. John Lightfoot, a 17th century Anglican clergyman, the Bible says creation occured during 4004 BCE. The oldest human fossil predates this by 3.5 million years.
From this it is simple to conclude that the Bible tells us that God did not exist for most of the life of the Universe, and was not around to create mankind.
Maybe he just had a bad dream.

The big bang is estimated to have occured about 13 billion years ago and one could say that God was the creator of the big bang and in effect the creatot of our universe.

The foundation for the big bang theory is 1., it couldn't happen because its foundation is the endless illusion theory, 2., it then required space to be curved post big bang, which should have been a state preceding the big bang. Think about it. Ain't one thing right, whatever order you put it in.

No one knows exactly when the BIG BANG did happpen.
This is because none knows as to how much time did the ice age last , or how much time the earth took to form ?
So it would be as good as telling a lie if you say you know when the big bang occured.

Maybe the BIG BANG never happened. Another theory is the PULSATING universe. Why did everything have to be in a minute particle?

If GOD HAD to create the universe, and that was the ONLY way, then what created him? its an endless loop, and one does not need to invoke a majical white robed man to explain things... we can try to use our minds for a change how about that? here is my simple way to make fun of all you religious zelots out there.... it goes a little somthign like this: do you know how a computer works? "no" then it must be the work of GOD!! if we dont understand it, it must have been made by the LORD!!! all computers are made by the LORD!!! praise the LORD!
