You can access them in any library. A librarian will help you and show you how to search. That is the only place to find the sympathy notices.

The clerk of court office in the city/town in which your friend passed away will have details such as date and time, cause of death but not anything flowery.

I would go to the library so you can actually read the obituary that was printed in the paper.

You might need his closest family member to give you permission to read the medical examiners findings, if you're curious about that too.

That's kind of personal and difficult to read. Autopsy records will ALWAYS leave you upset and sick to your stomach. It is not pleasant reading material. That much knowlege would just give you nightmares and feeling sick. I Know. I'm an RN. WE don't even like to read it .

Good luck. If the library you go to doesn't keep those on file, they can always tell you what library to go to that will have it.

If you have the date, the news office may have back copies they will let you have.Ask how you can get access to their archives or to read their back copies. They keep a copy of every paper they print.
