Chat room why?

Why is it that there is never anybody actually chatting about anything close to what the chat is listed for?
And why is there never anyone online in a group when you go there to discuss the topic?

because people don't care when they find things free of cost. still they are good people they go to required chat rooms only and chat meaningfull, the rest just are wasteing time.

Because dynamic webpages are getting everyone's attention like http://www.cnet.com/ and Yahoo Answers here.
