Define Child

Define Sex Offender (I would suggest Predator or repeat offender)

I would also insert "Rape" AND "non consensual" (because statutory rape is consensual)

If you make sure that the legislation will ensure that a 19 year old High School Sr will not be put to death for having sex with is Freshman girlfriend.

Under the current law the Sr in the scenario would be convicted as a sex offender and be registered for the rest of his life because that is how the law is written. Your law would put him to death if not worded properly.

When that guy hunted down sex offenders in the north east and killed some of them I know one of the guys he killed was arrested for having sex with his high school girl friend 20 years ago and has done nothing illegal after that.

Absolutely not. Thank God that law did not pass, although it was under review. I don't agree with the death penalty even when the offender has committed murder, I see no reason to put them to death when murder hasn't even been committed.

As someone who survived sexual abuse, I can see both sides of this arguement. In a way, it murders the child's spirit. But I think that with therapy you can move past the crime committed against you. I wouldn't want my abuser to be put to death for the crime he committed against me. Medical castration should be the only way the abusers are let out of prison.

Why do you want more children killed?

If you impose the death penalty, then the most likely result is the offender will kill the victim since he has nothing to lose.

According to old school psychology, the harm is inflicted by the reaction to the event as much as the event. What you are suggesting would also additionally traumatize the victim, knowing she was (indirectly) responsible for causing a person's death.

Emotions do not make for good laws.

Yes!!! because the physical and psycological damage they cause to the child is never able to be cured and many times result in creating a future molester or serial killer or psycho, as the child when grows may turn to be like the molester or even worse, and other cases the pshysical damage cause death or desease for the child, child abuse is such a terrible thing that only death penalty and more severe laws can make it stop.
