Actually that is not always true. Some very gifted students have superior coordination, and develop it sooner than their peers. I was one of those children. By the age of 12 I had 2 world championship martial arts titles. I tested at an IQ of 163 at 9 years of age and started my undergraduate college studies at the age of 12, one month after my 2nd world championship title was awarded.

Intellectually gifted is not the same as kinesthetically gifted. Some smart people can play sports well, and others can't. EVERYONE has relative strengths and weaknesses, including people that are gifted in one or more areas. To be "globally" gifted is extremely rare (gifted in all areas)...most are gifted in one or several (but not all) areas.

Here's a good site or two to help you understand the different "intelligences." Sports falls under "body-kinesthetic."

no, in my view of thinking it is not true.The student who is god gifted mind can only be in a particular field.we can take example of sachin tendulkar,tathagat,mahatma Gandhi and many more. among all i would like t say that the student among 100000 only one is gifted with special blessings of god.
