You get headaches due to the hormonal fluctuation that take place in your body during your cycle. It's perfectly normal. If the headaches are really severe, talk to your doctor.

I would say it is not normal to get a headache at ANY time! However I used to get migraine headaches before and during the first couple of days of my cycle. My OB/GYN said they were migraines caused by hormonal changes at that time of month.

Contact your doctor. I had the same exact problem. always cold, fainted a lot, felt lightheaded, headaches, period hurt like hell. the breathing thing only happened to me once or twice, but it was very scary. they put me on Yaz. its made a big difference. no more cramps, no more nausea during my period, no more fainting no more feeling sick. hope that helps! good luck dear!

unfortunatly headaches may accompany your period. I suffered with them during my cycle. There is an herb you can buy at the healthfood store called feverfew. It is the only thing that helped me. Get better soon. I feel bad for you. Hugs

You can really reduce the intensity either with some birth control pills or with a one-time treatment Atlasprofilax that strengthens your body's self-healing power.

The treatment is available in California and Europe, costing approx. 220 dollars - I really recommend it from own experience.
