The heritage center in salt lake city, utah is the biggest genological recordings site in the world. They have birth and death certificates from most of the world's countrys as well as census reports dating back hundreds of years.
You'll need someone who can translate japanese and possible chinese as most historical documents were written in traditional legal chinese.

There are many geneology sites and you can go manually thru BIRTH RECORDS, that is the best method
