Hi...have you checked your bananas..sometimes what you think are gnats..are fruit flies flying around over ripe fruit. or if you have flowers sitting in a vase insects are attracted to that source ..but if they are gnats...use one of those "fly traps" the insects are attracted to it. Check with your local hardware store or place like Walmart. Best of luck...Happy Summer without gnats!

Those little sticky traps work good, they also have these things called "bombs" availivle at most grocery stores, RAID makes them, just get one, cover any eating surfaces, and set it off inside your house. It lets out this thick smoke that has insectisides and kills every bug it comes inc ontact with. They works wonders, my cousins had to use some last summer.

I think they come for the fruit and stay for anything else.
Remove garbage from the house often, and don't leave out ripe fruit, and general clealiness should help.
Raid has a program for them too http://www.killsbugsdead.com/house-fly/

put shallow dishes of water and dish soap (half water half dish soap) where you see them the most. The dish soap draws them in and they'll die in the water. It take a couple days to get rid of them all cause they multiply so quickly, but it's cheap and effective.

they are feeding on something, and whatever they are feeding on is what they are laying eggs in.. find the source and remove it.. check behind the fridge and under cabinets.. anywhere some random piece of food could have fallen
