I work in retail and was looking in our stock room at work the other day. What to my wondering eyes I saw some Christmas cards in a box that are to go out on our shelves towards the end of July!!! Can you believe this?? How early is too early to start preparing for X-mas!??!

I stock up on gifts year round.. whenever I see a good deal on something I know someone would like. But I don't think stores should start decorating till the first of November.

Christmas 2007 or Christmas 2008?
I think there should be a law that you have to keep Christmas things in the store window for the same number of days after Christmas as before. If stores want to start Christmas in November, they have to carry it on unil February!

I make a lot of Christmas gifts by hand, so for me it's never too early. But I think stores shouldn't start pushing until after Halloween, at least.Though preferably not before Thanksgiving.

My grandma starts buying presents the week after Christmas... she shops all year and stores the gifts in her spare bedroom. I used to think she was nutso, but now I find myself doing the same thing... you can't beat some deals! and it'll make the shopping process go much smoother in December! :)

Apparently for some people, at least my neighbors, Christmas is year round because their Christmas decorations are still hanging around. lol

ha! i have worked in retail for 7 years. it seems that christmas starts earlier and earlier each year. by time it gets here i am ready to scream buh humbug @ everyone......
