Do you usually like movies with an expected ending or unexpected ending?

usually I prefer an unexpected ending.... but it really depends on the movie , if the unexpected ending is good or interesting like "Pulp Fiction", that's a real plus.. but when I saw "Ladder 49" , I was totally surprised by the ending and it blew me away... in a really sad way... that I could not shake for a while !

I like unexpected endings. I hate when someone ruins it, making the unexpected ending expected.

Surprise twists are the best when done believably. The Usual Suspects, Fight Club, great endings. But when the ending is supposed to be a surprise but is obvious from the beginning, like the 6th Sense, it makes it laborious to watch.

Expected endings are good too, as long as the film is as well.

Of course the unexpected ending can suck too....look at Tim Burton's "Planet of the Apes". Painful.

unexpected. i like to walk away from a movie thinking about what happened and how it ended up that way.

unexpected but not 'unfair'. like donnie brasco... how could it have ended like that. scarface on the other hand was unexpected but not unfair.

anyway am sick of all these predictable hollywood movies that always end with some guy running pants down to the airport!

Unexpected because it leaves suspense and you sit there going omg wants going to happen are they going to die or live, married or not married. So it leaves you in shock.
