I mean, if it's silent must I really say "excuse me"? God forbid the interviewer should ask "Excuse what?". Then I'd have to say explain that I just farted or say "You'll see" or something really embarrassing like that. I know a decent company would never not hire a person just because they farted in the interview, but then denying it completely might put up a red flag as to what my behavior as an employee could be like. GOD! If I fart during a job interview--silent or loud--I should just get up and leave and forget that job, right? RIGHT? *sob*

hello,

if its a silent fart but if it stinks the interviewer would know definitely that u have farted. but if there are more than 2 people in the same room - the interviewer wouldnt know if its u who had farted. lol

as for myself - i will remain silent - get the interview done. put on a pleasant facial expression. nothing tat reveals i hv just farted look! and leave the interview room in peace.

farting is natural - u cant stop it - it just happens!

First of all - I so totally love the picture and ID! Sleestack and Bull Winkle - a timeless combination! Now THAT's entertainment!

Secondly, I will say particularly in a job interiew you want to take responsibility for your actions. Here's what you do:

You put your hand to your mouth as if you coughed or burped and then say excuse me. The interviewer will think you had a quiet burp and will think nothing of it - but once the smell hits, he will understand why you said excuse me. Just as in PacMan, there is always a way out!

It depends...

If it was a quiet, barely audible squeaky fart then I wouldn't get discouraged, there might still be a chance you'll get hired.

If you ripped a hole in your pants the size of Texas and let out a hazy yellow cloud so potent that it eats the paint off the walls then I would definitely dismiss any thoughts of them hiring you.

Good luck on your job search.

if it smelt really fruity (bad) then i think you should be proud to own up to it, but if its a weak smelling 1 i think i would stay quiet and say nothing, it would be great if your employer judged people on the strength of farts, as if u let out a really sweaty 1 then u would get the job....lol

I don't know I think from the look of your photo you could get away from saying it was a greeting custom from your planet.

If the interviewer holds it against you I would take him or her to court for being alientist.

If I were you I would just act like it didn't happen maybe the interviewer might think he/she did and it snuck out, LOL! Just hope it never happens I'd be mortified if I were you.
