Yes and yes.
Well, no natural predators in the wild, but humans are doing a fine job of killing them.
Elephants have four molars, which are replaced five times, for a total of six sets in a lifetime. Death comes when the last set of molars wear out and the animal can no longer eat.

A hungry pack of Lions are known to attack elephants.
But death comes to a elephant when it is discarded by their group & roam about as "Rogue elephant" to fend for themselves, which is difficult. All alone is not possible to find migratory trails, waterholes etc.
Sickness & infections are also causes.
The greatest reason for their deaths is the formidable predator of all:
M A N.
Man hunts the elephant for his tusks.I have a dog eared copy of the national Geographic dating 15 years back or so, in which an article shows the brutal & ghastly ways the tusks are hacked of the head, while the elephant bleeds & suffers till death gives him calm.
Please, to all whom you know, profess not to buy or use Ivory in any form.

There was a show on the Discovery channel not too long ago that showed lions are grouping in packs and attacking elephants, now.
Even though it hasn't been the norm, the lions are so hungry from humans encroaching on their territories, plus the lack of food and water, they are going beserk.
In the episode I watched - the elephant did win - getting away with her life in tact, but the worse for wear.

Normally , NO.
Lions are opportunistic predators and do target baby elephants.
Depending on the availability/scarcity of food - a pride may stage an attack on a lone bull..(>> witnessed in the Serengeti)

Lions in Africa, and Tigers in India both will kill young, old, injured or sick elephants. And of course the meanest preditor of them all man, who kills them for profit.
