There are lots of good answers here. Eating a healthy, well-rounded diet is essential. I used to think only hippies ate organic food, but once I learned how much CRAP is in our food nowadays my mindset changed. A good rule to live by is, if you can't pronounce it, it probably isn't good for you. Our food is so ridiculously processed with excess chemicals that our bodies have trouble handling it.
Exercise is important as well. Moving not only keeps you slim, but it builds stronger muscle and bones (which is especially key for women, who can lose up to 30% of their bone calcium by age 70. can you say osteoporosis?), keeps the heart healthy, and sweating is an excellent way to get rid of toxins in the body. Rest, lots of water, and fresh air are always a plus.
It's best to stay away from harmful substances like tobacco, alcohol, and man-made chemicals (especially heavy metals) that are unnecessary for living. For example, amalgam fillings (for teeth) contain mercury that continues to leech out of the filling and into your brain for as long as you have the filling. Mercury + brain = not good (there are methods to detox your body of harmful heavy metals. see a specialist if need be)
I think sex is good for you. It's natural. Just be sure to keep yourself safe from STD's, and to only have sex when you're physically and mentally prepared for it and the consequences. Did you know that women who have children are less likely to get cervical and/or breast cancer than childless women?
Developing healthy relationships is also good for you. Having a positive outlook on life does wonders to keep the spirit up, the mind focused, and the immune system working properly. It's so important to love and be loved by the people around you. This seems to be why widowed people tend to die shortly after the death of their spouse. The grief just takes over and the person may feel he/she has nothing to live for.
And finally, getting adjusted by a chiropractor is a fantastic way to stay alive longer. In all seriousness, we know that the brain controls EVERY function in our bodies. The brain does this by communicating with our body parts via nerves. Our nerve signals go from our brain through the spinal cord and out through the nerves to reach the body part (and vice versa). Chiropractors help maintain the integrity of this system, called the Central Nervous System, by making sure the spine isn't misaligned. When the spine IS misaligned (aka subluxated), the nerves can become pinched/damaged, which interferes with the nerve signal. So get adjusted and keep that central nervous system functioning at its absolute best.
Wow, this is getting quite long. I don't know if anyone is even still reading, but thanks for the time! I'm getting off my soapbox now . . .

Eat a healthy diet. Include fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats and poultry, fish, whole grains. Watch your intake of salt, sugar, and saturated fats. Also watch the trans fats. These aren't healthy. Exercise one hour each week. Even a 10 minute walk each day will help. Keep a positive outlook and learn how to manage stress properly.

You have to take care of yourself. You need to do all the basics like eat right, get plenty of rest, lots of fluids, avoid tobacco, etc. But you also need to have the right mindset. You need to think "young". Set goals for later in life and make sure they include physical activities. Don't give in to old age by sitting around and watching TV while snacking. Get up and do things so you are always in shape into your later years. Do puzzles and games that exercise your mind to keep it young too!

I'm not a doctor, and you should consult a physician about this question. However, I will say that taking supplements, exersising, and not taking part in health deteriorating actions (smoking, drinking ect) will help you live longer. Please check out the following website for a supplement that can help kill free radicals in your blood (free radicals are cells that acctually make us sick, and make us age)
