For marriage, I like women with the same skin color as myself, yellow. I adore beautiful white actresses, but not for marriage. Is this true for white man, black man, etc. Biologically, I believe most people (not all people) will choose the same race for marriage. Is that true? Do darker colored person usually choose darker colored mate? Any study on that?

Below is a link to a news article about a Cornell University study on interracial marriages. "Since 1960 the number has jumped tenfold". Older Americans are less likely to choose another race to marry.

Personally, I married in my same race because he was looking for the same things out of life & religous beliefs I have. I've dated outside of my race and I wouldn't care if my daughter ever dated outside her race as long as the guy treats her right and has good morals.

I've learned that color / race doesn't really matter when it comes down to a relationship. You can be treated good or bad by anyone. and even though you aren't the same race you could still have the same values. I speak from experience when I say I had more in common with my white husband than I have with other races of men. So go for what you feel don't base it solely on what you see.

i'm a sixty 3 12 months previous male with 30 years of naval submarine service.i'm an American caucasian of German and English descent. there isn't any better ( prefered ) race. God created us all equivalent! i do no longer see any situation with couples interracial courting, yet the position I see the topic matters crop up is at the same time as little ones are born from interracial marriages. We nevertheless have a lot predjudice in the international and it really is the youngsters who look to struggle through. a brilliant human being of interracial marriage who I understand immensely is Tiger timber.

I know that some cultures are different, but I don't believe there are anymore pure races. I think everybody is mixed with something. If you prefer to marry within your race then that's your preference. No one should judge you for that, just like no one should judge someone for dating outside their race. I believe marriage should be about your love of someone, not their skin color.

I HAVE NO IDEA ON A STUDY ABOUT THAT, BUT I KNOW DAMN WELL THERE PROBABLY IS A STUDY ON IT. HELL THERE'S A STUDY ON ALMOST ANYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF. BUT IN TODAYS WORLD, TONS OF PEOPLE CHOSE A PARTNER FROM A DIFFERENT RACIAL BACKGROUND. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

I PERSONALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT COLOR OR RACE. IF I FIND ME A MAN THAT IS PURPLE AND HE TREATS ME LIKE THE QUEEN I DESERVE TO BE TREATED LIKE AND TAKES CARE OF BUSINESS IN EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE, THEN BABY I'M HIS!

ON A SERIOUS NOTE, I HAVE FAMILY WHO IS LIKE YOU, THEY CHOSE TO STAY WITHIN THEIR OWN RACE. I DON'T THINK THAT'S WRONG EITHER. AS A HUMAN BEING YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOSE YOUR PARTNER AND NO MATTER THEIR RACIAL BACKGROUND, IF YOU LOVE EACH OTHER AND TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER HOW CAN THAT BE WRONG?

THERE'S ALWAYS GONNA BE SOMEONE TO PUT YOU DOWN AND MAKE FUN. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE MIXED CHILDREN (THAT DOESN'T EVEN SOUND RIGHT, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) I THINK THEY'RE EXTRA BEAUTIFUL. I DON'T KNOW BUT THAT'S JUST THE WAY I FEEL.

I HAVE NOTICED THRU THESE LAST YEARS THO, MORE AND MORE PEOPLE MIX. IT'S ALL GOOD. DO WHAT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH AND IT CAN'T BE WRONG. YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO CHOSE YOUR MATE FROM YOUR OWN RACE AND BE HAPPY ABOUT IT. GOOD LUCK TO YOU. TAKE CARE. AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK. IF SOMEONE DOESN'T LIKE THE PARTNER YOU'VE CHOSEN THEN THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS IN YOUR LIFE.

I don't think that's necessarily true! I seriously dated a Japanese girl and I'm white - we considered marriage and I didn't give it a second thought. It didn't happen, but that's another story.

Check this article out... from Cornell so it must be reputable. It talks about how interracial marriages are on a rise in the U.S., but less frequent with older individuals.

When all is said and done --- I married the man that met my needs and is a strong Christian --- he happens to be white but that wasn't a factor in why I married him.
