Try a night light by your bed or turn on the bathroom light and let it shine a little into your bedroom. You could also have a CD playing on a timer with soothing music or just the radio. Having a stuff animal to hug always seems to help too. I hope that this helps.

I used to be like that, too. For some reason, I always had a strange fear that someone was going to come and cut off my feet. Weird, I know.

Just don't think about it. It sounds so simple and yet it's so hard to do. Try to just relax right before bed time. Calm down, say your prayers, and chill. Try the fan thing, too. I've always done that. Turn off the light, leave your tv on until you get calm and then turn it off. Hug a teddy bear and think happy thoughts. It may take a little while the first few nights, but you'll get used to it. Believe me, I thought I'd never be normal!!

Try to have a hot water bath before 20 min of sleeping it helps your muscels relax and helps to have a sound sleep. U may also try using essential oils in your bath. Try reading good books and just dont think about all those wierd things like ghosts or kidnappers! Good night sweet dreams

The best way is to say a prayer before bed. I used to have some issues with seeing scary things when I would try to go to sleep. That's what I started doing and it worked for me. Praying for you!

I feel ur pain.I'm terrified of the dark also.If its totally dark outside I can't breath. Anyway just make sure you watch something pleasant on TV before bed.Make an effort to keep ur mind off Ghosts and whatnot. And I sleep w/ bathroom light on when I'm alone...And if ur like me, STOP WATCHING SCARY MOVIES!!!!

Warm shower, cup of warm milk or herbal drink to feel relax...
Pray and read some verses in the holy book.

You can also listen to some slow music while you're in bed.

wow i have the exact same problem...cos i have an over active imagination, well i guess you can try a night light or something. i pray before i go to bed and ask God to send his angels and that usually makes me feel better to know that he's there watching over me, in a protective way that is

When you wake up in the morning, realize what position you were sleeping in. When it comes time to go to bed, get into that position, immediately.

You will fall asleep and wake up well rested.

well i use to be like that a few months ago, but right when you turn of the lights, close your eyes and burry your head in the pillow, and think happy thoughts, or get your dog to sleep with you, (if you have one)
