I am a hotel manager but your question is really not very specific...
Have you ever worked in a hotel or for a hotel corporation? If you haven't, I would suggest doing that first, because the hotel industry is not always a money maker. Things are always needing replaced, repaired, remodeled, upgraded..etc. You are always going to have to keep up with competing hotels and continue to try to offer more services yet maintain the prices that will still get people in the door. I would suggest working or talking with someone who owns a hotel rather than manages a hotel in order to know specifically what you are getting into. From what our owners tell us, the only way to truly make money in the hotel business is to own several properties. We have a group of several owners and they own alot of hotels scattered around the midwest ranging from economy hotels to upper-scale prpperties. A manager is not going to be able to give you the insight that an owner will.

First, you have to attend a Hotel Management Course, either short term or long term, where they teach almost everything.
