Probably they can't tell jack just from looking at you. They are probably just trying to convince you you're horny so you'll sleep with them.
Most of us guys are total morons; they probably think it'll work if they tell you you're horny, that you'll become that way.

In either case guys will say that in the hopes that you are sufficiently so to agree to see them, in most cases it's because they are. you cannot actually tell unless certain places are extremely aroused and this is not always due to those things for us, cold, etc will cause the nipples to stand up, not so for the male apparatus. If you don't appreciate it don't worry ignore them and they will move on, if you do well use your imagination.
