The Walt Disney Company owns 80% of ESPN Inc. and Hearst Corporation owns the remaining 20%.

Disney bought ABC Capitol Cities in 1995. (ABC bought ESPN in 1984). Thus Disney owns ESPN.

ESPN is was owned in the ABC corporation. ABC would bought out by Disney, years ago.

So technically... ESPN is a subsidy of the Disney corp.
