I just have to say this. I know that we are helping the people of iraq but what about the people in the US. A lot of people dont see the bad sides of the US whih is consuming more and more of this counrty every day. i mean i believe in helping people but it is like having a father who "claims" to help you somwhat but does soooooooooo much for other people.

If the US was so conserned about its people maybe minority based neighborhods and 3rd and lower 2nd class neighborhoods will have better schooling and more funding. Like DC schools. Minortiy students are have to attend those hoiffic schools every day but the when you go to Howard County they have really good schools. Also Chicago. The minority and poorer areas schools are basically falling apart but the "other" areas are not. And what about poor areas like the Katrina areas. they are still in rubel. They cut funding in that area to pay for some war no one know about. Bush is driving Americans deeper and deeper into dept.

I agree. Those who live in the suburbs get better schools because that's where the rich people live. And rich people influence elections.

Man, even the educational system is influenced by lawmakers vying for another term. Makes me sick.

Ok, also realize this. Of course there are going to be "sufferings" during wartime, I mean it's wartime! Countries have to make sacrifices during wartime, just like in all the wars previous to this war.
Also look at the advantages. Would you rather be attacked by terrorists again? I think the thing that American citizens don't realize is the threat of terrorism we have from parts in the Middle East and how this War has protected us from it. I mean, there hasn't been a single terrorist attack on our homeland since 9/11. Not only are we helping citizens of another country who don't only suffer from poor schools (or perhaps almost no schools) but also the threat of terrorism EVERY day, but we're also protecting ourselves from this American hatred.

Also, during war debt is inevitable. So of course there is going to be debt. If you want to improve the areas of schooling, perhaps you could contact your STATE government. May I remind you, the STATE government has authority over schools. Maintanence of schools is not a Federal government issue--it's a state issue.

Don't worry. The government will never spend so much that it can't baby-sit the minorities. After all that world revolves around minorities. Yours in particular, probably.

Minorities have made some schools so unsafe that other folk move away. That's called losing your tax base. Your people shoot themselves in the foot constantly and then want the rest of us to fix it. Makes me sick.
