You are not likely to get free vinyl siding for your house. The removal of asbestoes siding is not nearly as costly as removing asbestoes insulation. Asbestoes particles do not generally become airborne when the siding is removed. The cost of disposal in an approved landfill will be an added expense.
In the meantime, don't let your children chew or lick the siding on your house.
Good luck with your situation.

Asbestos??? Call someone that works for the housing commision....what year was the home constructed? Don't cover it.....it needs to be ripped out and replaced..... and make sure to seek a professional consultation from a liscenced asbestos removal service. Everyone is in the mood to sue... maybe you can sue the company that sold you the house..... Get him to knock the cost (of repairs) off the top of mortgage payement....
Good luck.... don't and don't let your kids watch Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory for until repairs are completed!!!!

Asbestos is fire-proof, vinyl is not. We have had many more house fires, some fatal, since the introduction of plastics. If anything is free it is not worth having.
