Even while I was on vacation for 10 days, when I came back it was alot more dusty than when I left, even though I cleaned before I left.

At my school, all the dorms have a huge dust problem (in fact, it got so bad that it caused one of my friends' computers to die). Mine was slightly less prone to dust, but it was still bad, nonetheless. My theory is that it has to do with how old that particular building is, and how well-maintained it is. All you can really do about it, though, is just keep cleaning it up.

Depends on what's outside. If you're across from a bare field in a windy part of the country, what can you do but try to stay on top of it. Change your air conditioning filters more often; if your house is dusty, so are they. I lived for years in a house with no lawn, just weeds and dirt, and those filters had to be replaced every week!

Clothes driers, curtains, blankets and beanbags will make a place much dustier. Although I've been told that alot of dust is actually dead human skin.

dust is everywhere in the air, when the air stops moving, the dust settles on surfaces. did you know that most of the dust in your house is your own shed skin cells?
