Gargle with WARM Salt Water.
OLD WIVES CURE - Mother-IN-Law
Put a quarter size amount of IODINE on the inside part of both wrists. Do this before going to bed.
Talk with your doctor about this. Could be a sinus infection. The drainage is causing the sore throat.

You could try tea and honey. Honey does ease a sore throat, but I really don't think there is an instant one. You could also try those plug in things for cold. the ones that are medicated and smell like vicks. I have found that sometimes they do help, and might ease your breathing. Do you snore? You could also try those breath right strips. They open your sinius. That could be why your throat is sore. It is getting very dry. Or the cloraspetic spray or cough drops. These might help. but like I said, I don't think there is an instant cure. Hope this might help you, and good luck.

A sore throat is an inflammation of the throat caused by either viruses or bacteria. It causes discomfort, pain, or scratchiness in the throat. Frequent and recurrent sore throats are common, especially in children between the ages of five and ten. The best way to prevent a sore throat would be to understand its causes and then taking steps to build a lifestyle that avoids them. This will include keeping a watch on diet and taking good care of the immunity system.

First of all you should contact your physician and have him check for Strep throat. If it isn't then you should probably take an antihistamine at night before you go to bed and then gargle with half parts hydrogen peroxide and water. The peroxide will kill the germs and also sooth your sore throat. If it persists longer than 3 days see your Dr again. Good luck and be well.

Probably you have allergic rhinitis (inflammation of nasal mucosa the inner coat), or you may have DNS (deflected nasal septum). for DNS simple is consult ENT specialist, if he suggests surgery then please go for it. For allergy the alopathy (medical science) is having problem, as there are billions & billions of allergens causative aget for allergy, therefore a patient is in better position to find out the allergens, because he or she develop symptoms, as they get worst with the exposure to such allergens/dust.
For immediate remedy try to get extra fluids, Vitamin C, saline gargles and honey mixed luke warm fluids at least three times a day. Citrus fruits are ideal for Vitamin C.
