I'm considering buying an ipod video. I have a mini, and would only be getting an ipod video because I like the idea of being able to watch movies and tv shows while I'm out. If it's a hassle messing with converting videos and such, I might stay with what I have already.

I love my ipod video. I do use it a bit for watching tv shows, but it is mainly great because of the color screen, lighter, thinner make, and larger storage capacity.

Two things to keep in mind, however:
-Often, videos you have not bought from itunes need to be formatted to play on your ipod, and sometimes, can't be played on the video ipod at all.
-My video ipod got scratched up really badly, so invest in a good case that covers the screen when you buy it.

But overall, I think it is a good investment you won't regret.

I returned that peace of s**t excuse for a MP4 player. The first one I got had like 1 hours of video life and 2 hours of music playing before it shut itself off because of no battery life left. Then I got another, same problem, and another, same problem. What ever happened to the 18 hours constant music of the original Ipod anyway? For $400 the thing should fly me to work and back. The new ones are advertised to have 150 hours of video. Wow, thats a wopping 2 hours. You want a good MP4 player, then get this: http://archos.com/products/tv_centric/av_400/index.html?country=global〈=en

I would say so..You can take and watch everywhere..think Music Videos with your music...Watching your cute girlfriend laughter on the player while you are apart...catching up on your favorite show.
