I have never had a job before and it would be at a retail store in the mall...could i ever ask if i could have my dadys off on specific days?

depends on the company policy. Many cases the company will give priority on scheduling requests to more senior employees first.

Sometimes if the retail store does not have alot of customers they will let you have days off that you need.
Most of the time they do hire you for days that they need someone for and no they will not let you have your days off. If it is important they will let you have a day off like sickness or hospital of a love one but don't ask to many times they will let you go because you want the wrong days off that they needed you.

You can negotiate your work schedule with your employer before starting. If it's part-time, they may be flexible. However, if it's seasonal, like Christmas, they may not be. Good luck!

SOme will some won't, ask your supervisor. Also when you filled out an application you should have put your availibility on there.
