I prefer my desktop too. I can have snacks around or other things in reach. I also love sitting at my desk.

I like both - but I would say Lap Top more.
I study as well as work - my personal computer is a lap-top. Am looking to travel soon so laptop handy for emails etc. I like being able to go outside or in a cafe and email or do work.

Desk top. I want my computer to use when I am ready but not be tied to it as so many are. I like the expandability of a desk top and being able to replace one part when something dies, not the whole system.

Desktop computer are still way faster than laptops. But then again, it depends on whether or not you travel a lot or want to work outside of your desk, like your living room. I prefer desktops because I don't have to lug them around, they're more comfortable, and they're more easily modified.

it depends upon your requirement i mean if you sit at one place and work or you want very high configeration pc and if space is not a problem for you then you can go for a desktop computer on the other hand if you are a busy person and there is a lot of travelling then you can buy a laptop with which you can work in flights, trains as well

I live on the road moving job to job. As much as I'd love the lower price and expandability of a desktop, a laptop with USB devices is the only choice.
