am used to eating in a particuar restaturant in India. There is a painting which I like very much I fell in love with the painting as it so much resembled my sister and me - I Always wanted to get some thing like that and to make another one was not that simple - I requested the owner of the restaurant if he could give me copy of the same - But he said that it was not possible - He took a photo of the painitng an emailed the same to me for which I was so happy .After a gap of 1month my daughter and me went to the restaurant last night.hey had changed the pictures and the one I loved was missing Asked the waiter and he said that the owner has taken it - felt sad -. AS we almost finished eating - the owner comes to my table with the huge packing and said surprise and gifted the pic- Words can't describe how happy I was - I was just grinning from ear to ear - He refused to take any money and it must cost at least 100$.Any ideas what to give him as my gift please.Please note am in India

That was so nice of him...the best thing you can do is always remember him as a friend. Find out when his birthday is...and send him a card with a nice note of friendship in it. A small home made gift would be nice also. Let him know how much you appreciate his thoughfulness.

wht i think is u can give him good pen...not ordinary pen..but cross or somethin like that..as the picture is around rs 5000 worth..may be u can spend a little 2000rs on this croos pen..grown up men usually love this..especially an owner of a restaurant..all the best...sorry...i dont know whether u r able to pay this much..just a suggestion.

Give him a nice poster of famous Indian foods to be displayed in his restaurant in place of the picture he gave you. One poster that will enchance the taste of the custumers so that they will be attracted to eat in the restaurant which will result to increase revenue.
