Integers: ..., -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, ...

What makes an integer an integer is that it is WHOLE (not a fraction).
That's the root of the word "integer," which in Latin means whole (as in "integrity," and the related words "intact" and "entire").

Natural numbers: 1, 2, 3, ...
Rational numbers: any ratio of an integer to a natural number,
such as -3/5
Real numbers: the whole number line

Such as

-5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Going on into infinite in either direction (negative or positive).

I forgot, but the people that posted below me pointed it out. It has to be a whole number. No fractions or decimals allowed.

An integer is a "whole number" (one with no fraction or decimal point). It can be more than zero (like 4), or less than zero (like -3), or zero. They can be shown on a 'number line', and go on forever in both directions to infinity and 'minus infinity'.

Do you mean integers? Integers are whole numbers, which include

1,2,3,4... and so on forever
and
-1,-2,-3,-4... and so on forever
and
0

Numbers such as 3.5 or 7/8 are not integers

Did you mean "integer?"

An integer is any whole positive number, negative number, and zero.

So,
-4815162342, -823, -17, 0, 1, 2, 3, 46, 675, 965523 etc are integers

4.8, -1.25, 4/5, pi, i are not integers.

if you mean intregral, then it is a sing of a range of numbers used in calculus. It could be any range yiu want it to be. The sign itself is "S" shaped.
