you would have to remove the tail lamp assembly from inside the cab then remove the bulb it should have about 3 or four screws on the assembly

If it is the brake/tail lamp:

with tools, unsecure the taillamp housing (this can be done with common household tools)
unhook the socket to the brake/taillamp
look for 1156 or 1157 (or 2056 or 2057 or,,you get the picture)on the burnt out lamp(is on the metal part).

Buy a replacement lamp

Reverse the procedure

drive away happy

If no one knew this, then there'd be a heck-of-a-lot of Ford Exploreres running around without tail lamps. ;-)
