There will be many more robots around in the future, but most (if not all) of them will not be walking around on two legs, moving on wheels, or will even be immediately recognizable. They will be located in the walls of buildings, in your car, in airplanes, on the bridges of ships, even on the "smart chip" in your credit cards. RFID (radio frequency identification) technology is one of the rapidly-improving pieces of the puzzle that will make everyday robotics practical.
The world of the future will not resemble that of "Westworld" or "I, Robot." But it will become ever more automated and convenient.
