I homeschool my daughter: The only math I ever took was basic math 9 and I graduated in "86". Long time no math and I never took this type of math. I'm only asking for help so that I can help my daughter. PLEASE only serious answers, thank you

Question # 4 read....Four angles of a pentagon have measures of 85*, 90* and 110*, the smallest of all the exterior angles measures ____ a. 5*, b. 20*, c. 70* d. 85*
I have taken this material to High School teachers for help and out of all the ones I have taken this to, not one knew how to do this or help my daughter, either they didn't know or didn't want to help. I even offer a large tutor amount to them

1. I'm not so sure about number one because if m
2. Let H be (x1,y1)

(0+x1 , 2+y1) = (0 , 5)
2 2

0+x1 = 0
2

x1=0

2+y1 = 5
2

2+y1 = 10
y1 = 10-2
= 8

hence (x1,y1) = (0,8) = a

3.I think you typed out question no 3 wrongly because if the sum of the measure of the interior angles is 12060, then
(n-2)(180)=12060
(n-2)=67
n=69

I think you actually mean 1260 instead of 12060
hence
(n-2)(180)=1260
(n-2)=7
n=9 (c)

4.are you sure pentagon has only four angles?and you only listed three.my guess would be c)70 since that the exterior angles is derived from subtracting 180 with the interior angle, hence the largest interior angle would produce the smallest exterior angle (180-110=70)

5.the total interior angles of a quadrilateral is 360
hence x+x+x+15+x+45=360
4x+60=360
4x=300
x=75 (a)

p/s: I'm okay at maths so if you do have any problem, you can email me at nick_ramzi@yahoo.com. I'm willing to help out anytime. All the best!

I'll try number 5, if the measures of the angles are x,x,x+15 and x+45 then x=

x+x+x+15+x+45=360
4x+60=360
4x=300
x=75

I also graphed question one and I think the answer is 0,8

the best service you can do for your daughter is to contact your local public school district and admit you need some assistance with this area. they should have tutors available, or at the very least you could enroll her for the math courses alone.

there may be local resourcses available, too, such as consortiums with other homeschooling parents. also, you might find some helpful resources here: http://lds-nha.org/

i'm sure you have very good reasons for homeschooling, but if these questions are too challenging for you, your daughter will be at a tremendous disadvantage when she approaches college.

good luck!

I see your combine up - A = PiR^two proper? Well, Area = Pi (radius squared), in which you set the radius as forty eight. The Diameter is 24 cm, proper? Well, within the method, radius is most effective part of the diameter, so that you must be making use of 12^two, now not forty eight^two Your method must appear like this: Area = Pi(three.14) * 12^two That'll provide you the proper reply.
