Why does everyone on here think there talking to people that are from the US, there's people on from the entire world, it drives me crazy!

well...some people are still living under the coconut shell...they don't know that there are a whole new world beside america....they are ignorant to the fact that other countries are living well and have internet connections....

I suppose we Americans are just using our common sense. There are about 300 million English speaking Americans. About 60 million English speaking Britons. About 10 million English speaking Irish. 30 million English speaking Canadians. And 17 million English speaking Australians, and several million other native english speakers around the world. So if you add up all of the other native english speakers, that amounts to around 150 million non-American native English speakers. so 300 million out of 450 million native English speakers are American.
We assume we are talking to Americans because there is about a 66% chance that the person we are talking to could be American. What else should we assume?
