I need too do 200 community service hours before graduation and I have 3 more years, so should I start now, OR should I go work for minimum wage?

Just during the summer though.

Start now and get it over with so that you don't get to the last days and suddenly realize that you don't have time.

Go and work for minimum wage this summer.
You can do the community service hours any time throughout the next 3 years. That's plenty of time.

Why not do both community service, and study, starting now. Others have done it successfully, and each can contribute to the other. If what you are studying does not eventually include some value for the community, you might as well give it up anyway because it will not satisfy.

I would work and it doesn't have to be for minimum wage. I know people who walk around with a clip board doing surveys, or needing signatures for petitions and some of them are making $15 an hour! I want to do it but I can't because of arthritis, I can't stand and walk too good! For you, I would say: Go for it!

Can't you work and do community service? You're going to have to spread out the community service over the three years, so I would start soon.
