Why do they let those who can't speak English get behind the wheel? Speaking English should be a prerequisite for all things in the USA.

Not every drive through employee is foreign. Some can speak fine english. For thse who are foreign, the manager probably put them there becuase it was the only spot for forein people. ( I think they also put them there because they are taking advantage of them by putting them in the loest paying jobs, knowing that they will work at a lower price than other employees.)

Because most of the speaker systems screw the conservation up so badly it doesn't matter what language the person on the other end speaks. They reserve the English speakers to help the customers inside.

They would not be working the drive through but too many Americans love tasteless dull food, with the exception of french fries of course. btw-- I bet those guys working the drive-thru know how to spell "SPEAK."

No one else wants to do the job. The pay is low, the stress is high, and they have to deal with a double s holes all day long.

Just to agrivate me. I recently ordered a coffe,cream one sugar. Not hard to remember I thought. I got a Latte. I told her wrong do again. I next got an iced coffee. WRONG AGAIN! I finally got my coffee but with milk not cream. I gave up and never went there again.

If you ask me in my area it is all ditzy blond girls who dont know what their doing and they have to ask you 5 times what you want to order after you told them the last 4 times. It is so annoying! :-(

I HATE it when they do that. Worse I hate onions and had one put them on anyway telling me I couldn't taste them after finally getting somebody to translate for me.
