HGH is produced commercially by genetic engineering techniques and when pituitary dwarfism is diagnosed before puberty growth hormone replacement therapy can promote nearly normal somatic growth. If taking after puberty there can be some negative side affects, also because the epiphyseal plates close the hormone can affect the other target organs and can enlarge the liver which to my knowledge wouldnt be good.
*Also for the person before me HUMAN CHORIONIC GONADOTROPIN is a hormone secreted in females during the development of the fetus, it is the hormone that is detectable in the mothers blood one week after fertilization,---its not the same thing as HGH

Hormone and hormone analogs are controlled substances (meaning, you need a prescription from a doctor to access them). This is because, if their use is misregulated, they can be very harmful. In general, hormones are very potent chemicals that, at low doses/concentrations, can cause profound physical/physiological effects. (For example, excess estrogen in the body can cause certain types of cancers.)

Growth hormones are usually taken by children under the supervision of a doctor with pituitary gland deficiency to enable them to grow to a normal height / weight. This is to benefit their overall health. Adults can sometimes take growth hormone -again, under a physician's supervision, if they have had an injury to the pituitary gland. But HGH is a potent hormone and can have unwanted side effects, since HGH has other direct and indirect target organs -and also other hormones- in the body. (For example, one hormone often can stimulate the production of another hormone which can decrease or increase that of a tertiary hormone. The endocrine system is extremely complex and delicately balanced). HGH, therefore, should NOT be used to build muscle mass in someone whose pituitary function is normal. This would be considered an illegal use of the drug and could cause health complications. If you want to build muscle mass, the best and safest way to go about doing so is to eat a high-protein diet in conjuction with regular, weight-bearing exercise.

It is NOT a supplement and it's not something you should take for fun. This is a discussion you should have with your doctor.
