My husband knew I wanted to use my mom's diamond ( been passed down many times in our family). He went to my mom asked her permission and on Christmas eve while we exchanged gifts to one another he gave me a wrapped gift and inside was the ring. It wasn't terribly romantic, silly, or adventurous, but it was the most wonderful gesture he will ever be able to make. Sometime it's not just about the proposal at all, but what is in the gesture as well. By giving me the ring I knew what he had to do to get it, not go to the nearest jewelry store and talk to a stranger, but go to my mom and get her blessing first....now that's devotion to me.

well this is my parents story. my dad took my mom 2 some lake or something and rented a gondola. he had like this band type thing playing music he took her 2 the middle and got on 1 knee and proposed.

My guy hasn't proposed yet. We have talked of marriage, but no proposal--yet. He does know, tho, that he HAS to propose to me or I won't do it. I was married before and my ex never proposed to me (needless to say, he was an absolute jerk, and that's being nice). I want to be proposed to. I believe that I will get it this time.

I uh, like got down on one knee and stuff. I only had her for an hour that day, conflicting work schedules and all, so we went for lunch and I asked her right there in a steakhouse. I am a sly minx.

well my story is that i was engaged and just broke up with my fiance and then he heard of that i didnt know him that time he knows my friend ..i was there at my friend and he came i was so sad he started talking and made me laugh totally changed my mood he gave me his number and told me whenever u need anything just call me..after it i went to a vacation for 10 days when i came back i called him and told hi its me am back i was so embarressed so i told him i need ur help i wanna learn french he said great i know the right place and he met me in the french center after that he invited me to have a cup of coffee and we kept on dating until one day he told me am in love with u ...marry me:)))) i said i love u too it took us 2 months then he met my dad then 1 month later we got married and now am pregnant in 3 weeks :))) he is a great guy and i love him soooooooooooooo much

my soon to be ex gathered all of our friends in the living room durring a party, and when I walked in he got down on one knee and said my full name, and I was thinking holy sh*t what the f*ck did I do, and he asked me to marry him. I said yes, but I knew even then that I should have said no.

we wnet out to kareoke (sp?) and i finally got him up on stage to sing cause he has a great voice he sang and it was beautiful then he got the guts to get back up and sing again and he sang the country song austin afterwards he got the crowd quiet and said people look all their lives to find that special someone i finally found that person and shes right there and he pointed to me and asked me to come up there i was shy and shook my head no so he came to me got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him i said yes and he kissed me the crowd started cheering it was so sweet we got the tape recorded from that night so we can remember it forever

well we ALWAYS watched movies and he always brought over snacks...one day he brought over cracker jacks and I was so excited cause I forgot all about them. When I got to the bottom I opened my prize and it was a ring, he got down on one knee and proposed!
