I saw a comedian the other day. He was saying how people were so racial...
What he did say caught my attention - He said everyone wants to be treated equal, yet the handicapped can get in the front of the line, and women want to be treated as equal in the work field, but if a sexual joke is made etc, they call sexual harassment!
But if it were an all male company that's just something men do!
So the answer to the question is if you want to be treated equal you have to accept EVERYTHING that goes along with it!
The rules cannot be changed due to any kind of disability, race or sex

There can be no basis to any claim that women are less equal than men. Both are humans and about 99% biologically identical. Both are necessary to the continuation of the human race.
A country's laws should actively require equality in all matters. Thus for instance, it would be illegal for any church to prevent a woman taking any role. That would put both the Anglicans and Catholics in an interesting position! In a society that values women as equals there can be no justification for allowing in law that any body, including religious organisations may discriminate against women.
The Bible (or the Quran for that matter) were written in times when men dominated women even more so than now. The Bible was written by powerful men who were imposing a new order on their World to serve their own best interests. Sadly, this bigoted and manipulative stuff has remained in print to the present day and continues to pervert the natural sense of right and wrong that's built into all of us.

Yes, in cases where there is no overriding concerns of safety, women and men should be equal. Using the bible, Eve came from a rib, therefor she should be by his side. Only in cases where physical strength is needed do men in general have the edge, this is just nature, in areas of IQ, whoever is better suited should lead.

Me personally... I read and believe the Red letters... and while Jesus said some things about that, the VAST majority was said by Paul, (in the New Testament) if I remember correctly... and I'm not big on many things Paul said... much of it does not seem consistent with what Jesus said in my opinion...
I think we should be total equals...
