I see you adopted the maturity of others, "repug's"
I guess the question is "do republicans follow blindly?" I'd say no, there are issues that I disagree with republicans, gun control environmental policy, but they are coming around on the latter. But they do represent me better than quasi-socialists, I mean liberals. So there's my vote.
Perhaps you can turn the question around and ask do liberals follow the platform in a dogmatic fashion? I very rarely see a challenge from liberals on liberal position. And some of their positions defy any reason. There's blind faith.

RepuBlicans aren't religious nuts any more than democrats are environmental terrorists. And certainly they don't follow anyone blindly. The very root of Christianity is in fact free will & individual moral choice. Politically, I think you'd find it quite teh opposite. It's a voting block (the evangelical religious right) that influences the republican party to their agenda, not the other way around. But understand that they are jsut one voting block & by far not even the majority of republicans. You should watch your stereotyping.

Of course not, but it makes you comfortable to think you and those like you are the free minded ones while the right wingers are the tunnel visioned and uneducated idiots. That makes you feel good about your position. Hint: You have been TAUGHT to think this way, the same way people in any culture are brought up to think certain ways.
